The Itaewon

The Design

The problem with most recliners is that they announce themselves. You can see the mechanism from across the room — the chrome lever, the exaggerated footrest, the shape that says function before it says anything else. The Itaewon was designed to solve that problem entirely.

Named after Seoul's most international neighbourhood — layered, confident, never quite predictable — the Itaewon is a fully upholstered recliner with a completely concealed mechanism. In both positions, the silhouette reads as a single, considered form. The footrest folds flush with the base. The back reclines on an arc that feels natural, not mechanical. Nothing protrudes. Nothing interrupts.

The seat is deep and wide, with a density of foam chosen specifically for extended sitting — not the performance of comfort, but the real thing. The arm height is set lower than standard, which opens the shoulder and changes how the whole body settles into the chair. Once you have sat in it for an hour, you understand what we mean.

Every dimension is set to yours. We adjust the seat depth for your height, the arm width for your frame, the recline angle for your preference. Fabric options include full-grain leather, Italian boucle, Belgian linen, and velvet — all available in samples before any commitment is made.

"A chair that looks the same at rest and reclined — because it should."
