The Design

Cheongdam is where Seoul goes when it wants to be seen. The gallery district, the flagship stores, the restaurants where the lighting is considered before the menu. It is a neighbourhood that understands that presence matters — that a room communicates before anyone speaks. The chair that takes its name was designed with exactly that idea in mind.

The Cheongdam is unhurried and certain — a tightly upholstered tub silhouette with rounded shoulders and a single continuous front line. There is no piping to mark a seam, no visible frame at the arm; the shape reads as one confident curve from every angle in the room.

The seat is set deep, the back close and supportive, so the chair holds its shoulders in even when the room around it is busy. Placed alone, in a pair, or as part of a larger seating arrangement, it keeps the same quiet composure.

The wool, mohair, or velvet you choose decides everything else; the architecture stays the same. Seat height and depth are adjusted to your preference, and every order is upholstered to your fabric before it leaves the workshop.
